Frequently Asked QUestions

What materials are your shirts?

One of our top priorities — and we believe key differentiators — is the quality and comfort of our apparel. We’re picky about comfort, and we won’t sell you an item that we wouldn’t wear ourselves.

Currently all of our shirts are printed on Next Level Apparel tees. The exact blend of materials may differ in order to be the best and most accurate color for our designs. You can trust that we sample each material before choosing to print on it and hold it to high standards of comfort.

We’ve added specific shirt information to the product page for each design so you can be fully informed about what you’re buying.

How do your shirts fit?

This varies some with different shirt materials, so we can't say for certain. However, what we've found is these shirts tend to fit smaller if anything. You can find specific size charts  on the Next Level Apparel website. Shirt information including direct links to the corresponding shirt style is listed on the product pages.

Do you have a brick and mortar storefront? Why not?

We do not have a physical storefront at this point in time, but believe us, we’d like to. It’s a long-term goal, and we’d love to make it a reality. To get there, we’ll need your support.

In the meantime, a online storefront is the most economically feasible and efficient model for us. But stick with us, and maybe one day we’ll be opening up shop on Green St.

Your address is listed as Saint Louis, MO. Why aren’t you based in Champaign-Urbana or even just the state of Illinois?

Our partners all met at U of I, honed our skills at U of I, and love Champaign-Urbana dearly. Life has taken us elsewhere, and our current business model makes it most logical to operate from one of our existing home bases.

As with our brick and mortar dream, having a Champaign-Urbana presence and even HQ is a goal, but for now we operate just a small drive away in Saint Louis.

I placed an order a week ago, and I’ve yet to receive it or a shipping notification. Where’s my order?

First off we apologize. We don’t want any of our loyal customers in that situation, but there are times it happens. We’re a young business, and we’re still figuring out how to be most efficient with our processes. There are a handful of factors that could cause a delay, but rest assured we’re working hard to figure out the smoothest and quickest process possible.

If you have concerns about a specific order, please always feel free to contact us at

What is your return policy?

We want you to love your Fourth and Kirby apparel. We want it to be what you expected and more. And we of course want it to fit. If you ever feel we’ve come up short, reach out to us at

Of course, we do have an official Return Policy for these scenarios as well.

What sizes do you carry?

When we launched, we started with S, M, L, XL. We listened to your feedback, and we added XS and 2XL to our next stock orders. We intend to carry very small quantities of 3XL and 4XL in the future as well. Your feedback helps, so please let us know if you think we’re missing something. That with our sales data will help drive our future offerings.

Do you carry women’s shirts?

Right now, we do not carry shirts sized specifically to women, but we certainly are open to doing so as we grow.

Will you ever offer more than just t-shirts?

We plan on expanding our offerings as we grow. Whether that’s sweatshirts, hats, or something else, we have lots of ideas. To get there, we need your support. As the saying goes, “buy a t-shirt today, have the opportunity to buy a hoody in a year.” I swear I heard that somewhere.

Why aren’t your designs available on other shirt colors?

We prioritized offering a variety of designs and Illini colored shirts. For now, that means one color of shirt per design. As we grow with your support (we’ll keep saying it until you buy some shirts), one possibility would be to offer designs on various shirt colors.

Are your products officially licensed?

You better believe it. Before we launched, it was important to us that we checked all the necessary boxes to operate legally. We have deep roots at Illinois, and we’ve gone through the appropriate channels to ensure that all applicable apparel we sell are officially licensed.
